Cancellation, Late Cancellation & No-Show Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible.

Therapy sessions require a dedicated, uninterrupted hour reserved specifically for you. Unlike many medical offices that can overbook or see clients in shorter time slots, I am unable to fill last-minute openings when a session is cancelled. Because of this, the following policy is in place:

Late Cancellations

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

  • Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will be charged a half session fee.

No-Shows

You will be charged the full session fee if you:

  • Do not show up for your scheduled appointment, or

  • Arrive 15 minutes or more past your scheduled session time, as this will be considered a no-show.

Possible Exceptions

I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. In some cases, I may choose to make an exception to this policy depending on the situation and/or if we are able to reschedule within the same week (based solely on my availability).

Text/Email Cancellations

If you choose to cancel by text or email rather than by phone, please ensure that you receive a response from me confirming receipt. Your cancellation is not considered confirmed until you have received acknowledgment.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or information about your Good Faith Estimate, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
